Review: Ichthyosaur (Playful Home)

Most kids love dinosaurs, this is a fact. Other prehistoric creatures too but as we know many non-dinosaurs are still called dinosaurs, so the umbrella term here is dinosaurs. Kids love dinosaurs. Most adults however end up losing this interest, it’s a shame really.

Review: Dinosaurs (LEGO Duplo)

3.3 (7 votes)
Thanks to the incredible team of Dr Bella Bricking and Beth Buildit most readers will be familiar with the certain incarnations of dinosaurs in the world of LEGO. Especially the figures released in the Jurassic World Franchise can achieve a serious price amongst collectors but there’s way more dinosaur figures in the LEGO universe than those.

Review: Wuerhosaurus (CollectA)

When I place the 2009 CollectA Wuerhosaurus on the table in front of me, it is easy to see that the look of it is on the rather plain side.   It is neither edgy or over stylized which is typical of CollectA prehistoric line up at that time.

Review by Rajvinder ‘IrritatorRaji’ Phull, photographs by Ceratopsian, edited by Suspsy
In 2004, the rib and vertebrae of an unknown dinosaur were discovered in Chile by a seven-year old by the name of Diego Suárez. However, little did Suárez know that he had kickstarted a fascinating chain of events that, in 13 years, would rock the world of palaeontology to its very core.

Review: Stegosaurus (Scout Series ‘Melon’ by REBOR)

Genus: Brand: Classification: Age: Type:

Stegosaurus is one of the most popular and recognizable dinosaurs and almost without any exception any given toy company or producer of prehistoric creatures has one or more of them in their line up. But as same as for other species, almost no company offers reconstructions of juvenile versions of this spectacular species.

Review: Dinosaur Set with Cave (Schleich)

4.4 (14 votes)
Hidden by vines streaming down the rock face, there can be found multiple  fractures in the otherwise solid rock face.  One opening was wide, big, and served as entrance to the cave. There was also a small hole further up on the wall that could let in a dim beam of light during the mid afternoon sun.

Greetings dinosaur fans! With the Christmas and the New Year upon us, this will be my last review for the year. To make it special, I have chosen to review a set of figures that I have been wanting to review for a while now.

For my second review, I will be considering a classic: the Schleich ‘Junior’ Brachiosaurus from back in 2002. It is essentially a smaller and slightly modified version of the even older original 1993 Replica-Saurus sculpt.

This is my first review for the Dinosaur Toy Blog. Stegosaurus is among my favorite dinosaurs and I have plenty of Stegosaurus figures/toys (see group photo below). This is why I chose this charming prehistoric plush toy for my first review.

Up for review today is the recently released model of the primitive thyreophoran Scelidosaurus harrisonii, created by Jetoar (Jesús Toledo) for his Paleo-creatures line of models. Scelidosaurus is a dinosaur that is seldom seen in figure form.

“Truth is like the sun. You can shut it out for a time, but it ain’t goin’ away.” – Elvis Presley.
Cryolophosaurus was an early Jurassic theropod that hailed from the Hanson Formation around 194-188 mya in what is now Antarctica.
