Suspsy has lived in Canada all his life. One day when he was in kindergarten, his teacher did a lesson on dinosaurs and put up some giant cutouts on the wall. Suspsy immediately began pretending to be a Tyrannosaurus rex at playtime, and continued to do so for many subsequent playtimes. Since then, he has acquired two degrees, worked many different jobs, travelled to many fantastic locations, fallen in love, gotten married, and settled down to raise a family, but his passion for dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals has never waned.

“Grrrrrr.”

Have you ever dreamed of visiting a theme park that featured up-do-date, scientifically accurate (or as close to accurate as one can get) dinosaurs as opposed to tired old movie monsters? Well, that may never come to pass for real, but Dinosaurs in the Wild comes pretty danged close.
“Greetings once again, fellow dinosaur lovers! Dr. Bella Bricking here, along with Beth Buildit and her precocious young niece, Bronwyn!”
“Bwah? What the heck is Bronwyn doing here, Doc?! My sister forbade me from taking her on any more of our adventures after that last time!
In 1983, an English plumber and amateur fossil hunter named William Walker was digging in a clay quarry near Dorking, south of London. He picked up a large piece of rock, hit it with his hammer, and out fell an enormous claw! But when Walker got home, he realized that the very tip of the claw had broken off.
Discovered by the legendary paleontologist Edward Drinker Cope during the famous Bone Wars of the late 1800s’, Edaphosaurus was the herbivorous counterpart to Dimetrodon during the Early Permian. It can easily be distinguished from its deadly cousin by a much smaller head, a wider gut, and an array of supporting crossbars on its fin.
Life as a prehistoric predator, even one as powerful and ferocious as Smilodon fatalis, was far from easy or enjoyable. A recent study done on thousands of specimens collected in California found that 4.3% of them had sustained trauma to their backs and shoulders.
Ceratosaurus was certainly not the biggest or the most dangerous theropod of Late Jurassic North America, but thanks to its prominent nasal horn, it was probably the most distinctive. As a result, it is rather popular among dinosaur fans; renowned paleontologist Robert Bakker has declared it to have been his favourite since 1958.
When it comes to tubes of miniatures, or “toobs,” Safari Ltd. remains the undisputed ruler. That said, they haven’t released any new toobs in years, and many of their prehistoric-themed ones are really showing their age. Today we’ll be examining one such example, Carnivorous Dinos, consisting of twelve miniatures representing a veritable Who’s Who of Mesozoic (and one Paleozoic) Meanies.
Dinosaur products extend far beyond the familiar realms of CollectA, Papo, Safari, and other such companies. From clothing to cereals to shower heads, there’s not much our prehistoric pals can’t sell. Today I’ll be reviewing an Allosaurus that keeps my pencils nice and sharp.

Playmobil’s 1.2.3 line is the equivalent of Lego’s Duplo line: simpler, safer versions of their main products aimed at toddlers. When I saw that there was a dinosaur-themed set among the 2018 releases, I knew that I had to get it for my son.
“Good day, fellow dinosaur lovers! Time once again to delve deep into the world of Lego with yours truly, Dr. Bella Bricking, along with the indispensable Beth Buildit! And how is little Bronwyn today, Beth?”
“She’s just fine, Doc. Although I’m still not sure my sister would be cool with all this.”
