In Japan, many figure companies are quite exciting due to their sculpting and selection of lines. For a good example take Bandai’s Godzilla Complete Works, Konami’s Gamera, Kaiyodo’s Dinotales to mention a few and if you know these lines and their respected makers then you know the orient also holds fantastic figures and not just the USA.

Dino World was a line of small models similar to Kaiyodo’s Dino Tales. Unlike Dino Tales, these toys are sold by the Japanese candy company Kabaya and came packaged with candy. This review will be looking at #12 of 24 in the series, the hatching Protoceratops.
Like Dino Tales figures, this toy is very small.

Although Diplodocus was discovered in the 19th century by Samuel Wendell Williston and Benjamin Mudge, and named by Othniel Charles Marsh, a new and large specimen belonging to a new species of Diplodocus was found in the late 1980s.

Spinosaurus aegyptiacus, the “Egyptian Spine Lizard” is the largest known theropod that ever existed to be known thus far, surpassing Giganotosaurus at both weight and length! The “Spine Lizard” is one lucky dinosaur, it was once found in 1912 and named three years later by Ernst Stromer Von Reichenbach but its remains were destroyed during bombing in World Ward Two.

Since theinitial discovery  of this ancient animal  in the 1880s by O. C. Marsh, Triceratops has become one of the most well known of all of the dinosaurs.  Today in the 21st century, it still remains one of the largest of the Ceratopsia.

Before the animal was officially known as “T.rex”, it was known as Manospondylus gigas and Dynamosaurus imperiosus, but when the animal’s true name was revealed along with better finds, this coelurosaurian became one of the most popular dinosaurs ever and most likely the most well known all!

The red Tyrannosaurus differs greatly compared to the Kabaya green T. rex (reviewed here) for three major reasons. One is that it seems to be paying homage to a classical standing posture. Second is the main color scheme which is red – the overall sculpt resembles Diablo, the red Tyrannosaur of Primal Rage, the great Atari Probe video game of the 1990s.
