I am always impressed when toy lines, no matter how big or small, creates figures of species rarely seen or never before seen on the market. The Jurassic World/Park has done this several times, and continues to do so. Here, we are looking at one such recent example, Gasosaurus, a theropod from the Mid-Jurassic of Sichuan, and honours the gasoline company that found the fossil sight.

Concavenator was an Early Cretaceous carcharodontosaur hailing from Spain. The beautifully preserved holotype fossil possessed a set of extended vertebrae that formed a triangular ridge in front of the hips. This bizarre feature has caused the species’ star to grow quickly, causing it to receive several toys and even cameo in the second Jurassic World movie.

Greetings DinoWaurriors! In spite of all the giant Theropods discovered over the years, I like that Allosaurus can still garner s decent amount of attention from both dino experts and the general public. As one of the major carnivores of the Jurassic (only really beaten by related Saurophaganax during it’s time), it truly earns it’s reputation.

When companies add dinosaurs to a franchise, be it a game, show or book, they often want to make them as bright and eye catching as possible so that people will buy the merchandise. This often ignores any colouring that may be what they actually looked like, as it would be too subdued.

The UKRD dinosaurs were mass-produced back in the early 1990s’, and don’t seem to be particularly sought after today, but some of them appear to have been inspired by John Sibbick’s palaeoart in David Norman’s 1985 Encyclopaedia of Dinosaurs, which I think makes them somewhat interesting.

Back in May 2019, the Dual Attack Allosaurus and Nasutoceratops toys began showing up on shelves at Walmart, which caught people by surprise, as no images of these had been revealed online beforehand.

Tyrannosaurus rex is without a doubt the most famous dinosaur of all time. He is also one of the biggest, and for a while the largest predatory theropod found to-date.He has held that distinction for decades and still do so to some extent today.

The latest Allosaurus toy courtesy of Safari ltd has landed; is it the definitive Allosaur of the 2010s we’ve all been waiting for?

Ever since Charles R. Knight first depicted it in painting, and Marcel Delgado and Willis O’Brien brought it to life in cinema, Allosaurus has been a mainstay in dinosaur media – second only to Tyrannosaurus as the big predatory dinosaur for decades.

An air of nervousness engulfs the once serine scene at the forest edge. Herds of herbivores that just minutes ago were busy playing, eating, and calling to each other now stood silently still, on high alert. Their sudden change in behavior is warranted.

Well, a full year has gone by, and it’s safe to say that the Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom toy line has been a success. So much so that some of the toys have won the Toy Associations best Action Figures award for 2018, which is a lot more than Hasbro’s lazy attempts from back in 2015.

I usually do not like reviewing a repaint of an original sculpt that has already been reviewed here on the blog, simply due to the fact that I am left with not much to talk about except for the new paint job.
