Review: Prehistoric Hunters (Creator by Lego)
“Hey, folks. Hope none of you are getting coal in your stockings this year.”
“Indeed, because we have a marvellous present for everyone: a review of the 2012 Lego Creator set 6914: Prehistoric Hunters!
Since they first started producing tube sets back in 2015, CollectA has covered a pretty decent variety of prehistoric life, wild animals, sea creatures, and farm stock. In 2021, they went back to the beginning with a third dinosaur (mostly) set consisting of ten figures, all based on previously released toys.
Proceratosaurus. “Before Ceratosaurus“. I remember when I first laid eyes on the exquisitely preserved jaws of this animal, found in England from the rocks of the mid Jurassic. The picture was in most dinosaur books throughout the 80’s and 90’s, accompanied by a somewhat vague description usually saying that it looked like Ceratosaurus and Ornitholestes due to the nasal horns (in the case of Ornitholestes, the nasal horn never existed, as the fossil skull was somewhat warped).
CollectA, the master of obscure dinosaur toys, reached in to their menagerie of extinct animals and choose to produce a truly interesting Proceratosaurus. The identity shifting Proceratosaurus received its name due to it originally being thought as an ancestor of Ceratosaurus due to its nasal crest.

With an awful lot of Jurassic World toys being released from Mattel for 2019, I thought it would be wise to cover one of the 2018 toys that have been neglected from review so far. The subject of today’s review is this cartoonish little theropod that Mattel has dubbed a Proceratosaurus.
Before we begin the review I would first like to thank the generous folks over at ToyMonster, for sending me a large selection of Captivz figures for me to share with the blog.
Pyroraptor olympius is a species of dromaeosaur that lived in what is now southern France during the late Cretaceous.
PNSO is a company that I never thought that I’d collect. When they first came onto the scene in 2016 I was not too interested in their selection of products, and before I finally decided to give them a shot, they went into some legal issues and the company remained dormant for a while.
