Review: Set of Dinosaurs by Linde

4.6 (8 votes)

Right to begin with, yes, three figures by Linde are already thoroughly represented on this blog, the Tyrannosaurus, Sphenacodon and Dimetrodon. But for the sake of completeness I include those three in this review aswell.

Review: Dino Skulls (Toob by Safari Ltd.)

4.2 (29 votes)

From the savage teeth of tyrannosaurs to the intimidating horns of ceratopsians to the endearing crests of hadrosaurs and to the peculiar noggins of pachycephalosaurs, dinosaur skulls truly are stupendous. I previously reviewed Safari’s toob of prehistoric mammal skulls; now I’ll be looking at their Dino Skulls toob.

A humid spring morning finds A’tahsaia striding through the trees, following her nose toward the familiar and irresistible scent of rank meat. Arriving at the forest’s edge, she sights a small herd of torosaurs wading and drinking in the shallows of a river.

This is my first guest review here on the DinoToyBlog. Ever since my mom started throwing out stuff from her attic, I’ve been trying to save my old dinosaur toys, and as a long time DTB reader, I thought it would be a good opportunity to see if I had something that hasn’t been covered here before.

There isn’t a single more recognizable in this day and age as Tyrannosaurus rex. When Jurassic Park came out in 1993, the JP-style Rex image was permanently ingrained into the general public’s brains from that point on.

As soon as I saw this figure starting to pop up on social media and online toy venues, I knew I had to have it. I mean, look at it! Released in 2018 from Kaiyodo’s Sofubi Toy Box series, this Tyrannosaurus rex comes in three different color schemes: the orange and striped version(018A) featured in this review, an olive green version(018B), and a reddish-brown version(018C).

Hello, everyone! I have another big piece to share with you all and it’s the 1:5 scale female Tyrannosaurus rex bust by Chronicle Collectibles. Their first ever JP-related piece was a bust of the bull T.

Review: Tyrannosaurus rex (Fingerlings Untamed by WowWee)

Fingerlings is a toy line that consists of electronic animal figures that fit onto a child’s finger and respond to touch and sound with movement and sound of their own. Most of them are designed to look as cute and lovable as possible, but the Untamed subline is clearly aimed at children who prefer their organisms scary, violent, and prehistoric.

Tyrannosaurus rex is without a doubt one iconic animal, one of the handful of dinosaurs that most of the general public can identify on sight, and as far as prehistoric animal toys are concerned, there wouldn’t be too many making dinosaurs that didn’t have this guy in their lineup.
