Before we begin the review I would first like to thank the generous folks over at ToyMonster, for sending me a large selection of Captivz figures for me to share with the blog.

Altogether I have 6 Bumpy toys in my collection. Two Mattel action figures, 2 Captivz by ToyMonster, 1 plush by Mattel, and the Lego baby Bumpy.

Review: Dinosaurs II (Authentics Habitat Collection by Safari ltd.)

This fine set of little Battat precursors from Gregory Wenzel has aged impressively well, and any collector who’s found a chance to own the set should find these a delight.

Back in the 1990s, Safari ltd. was still a bold newcomer on the collectibles stage; with their success on the Carnegie Collection line, the company began exploring additional means to grow their brand.

Review: Mosasaurus (Soft Model by Favorite Co. Ltd.)

Kazunaki Araki’s sculpt reflects how our scientific understanding of Mosasaurus has changed, while retaining more classic, retro traits in appearance.

Dinosaurs have often been compared to modern lizards, perhaps because they tend to be a default image the general public has of reptiles.

Review: Trachodon AKA Edmontosaurus (Dinoland by Sinclair)

Genus: , Brand: Classification: , Age: Type: , , Scale: ,

3.9 (14 votes)

Sinclair’s Trachodon captures a moment of history in dinosaur pop culture and science which is gradually growing farther and farther away, but its imagery remains pervasively iconic.

There’s always something new to discover in the collecting hobby – even when it’s technically old.
