A new Jurassic World movie is on the horizon and regardless of how you feel about the Jurassic franchise it means we’ll be getting a new lineup of toys to accompany it. And what a lineup it is! The Tyrannosaurus, Spinosaurus, and Mosasaurus have all been given a fresh makeover.
Review: Concavenator (Haolonggood)

Concavenator is a genus of carcharodontosaurian that hails from Spain and was described in 2010, the same year I started collecting dinosaurs! Although only known from a single specimen it’s a nearly complete and articulated one. Concavenator is immediately recognizable thanks to two tall vertebrae in front of the hips that are thought to have supported a hump.

Although I’ve reviewed a number of these Yowie figures there’s one above all others that I’ve been wanting to obtain, the Atopodentatus, and I guess the 12th times the charm! Although listed as “common” on the Yowie rarity chart it had frustratingly eluded me for two months.

Although I grew up with dinosaur toys around me for as long as I can remember, there was one dinosaur missing from my collection as a small child. This dinosaur, which I desired more than almost any other, was the “two-crested reptile”, Dilophosaurus.

Mattel really likes the Shaximiao Formation, a middle to late Jurassic formation located in China. They’ve released many dinosaurs known from the Shaximiao, including Chialingosaurus, Gigantspinosaurus, Mamenchisaurus, Gasosaurus, and Yangchuanosaurus.

This fine set of little Battat precursors from Gregory Wenzel has aged impressively well, and any collector who’s found a chance to own the set should find these a delight.
Back in the 1990s, Safari ltd. was still a bold newcomer on the collectibles stage; with their success on the Carnegie Collection line, the company began exploring additional means to grow their brand.

Despite the figure’s small size, there are plenty of fine details to appreciate on this release from Kinto/Favorite’s earlier days.
