Meet Ellie, the favourite of favourites in my whole dinosaur collection! I was so inspired by her that I even draw a cartoon called “Skinny and Ellie,” featuring a caricature of her. Ellie is a Wild Republic woolly mammoth, also known as a Cuddlekin.

When Sideshow Collectibles revealed their Brachiosaurus hatchling in 2009, it might have inspired REBOR to create their own take on a hatching dinosaur. The REBOR Club Selection line features only limited edition models numbering about 1000 worldwide.

In yet another museum partnership, Safari Ltd produced a model of the dinosaur embryo known as “Baby Louie” for the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. It’s believed that the dinosaur itself was an oviraptorid, however, not much has been published on it because the fossil was originally smuggled out of China and was in the hands of a private collector.

Parasaurolophus is known from only a handful of specimens, but somehow it has become one of the most popular dinosaurs around, maybe because of its very interesting cranial crest.
Parasaurolophus is known from only a handful of specimens, but somehow it has become one of the most popular dinosaurs around, maybe because of its very interesting cranial crest.
Like all Tsukuda figures from the standard 13 piece set in the 1980s’, this vintage Parasaurolophus is made of hollow vinyl plastic in a multi-piece construction and moulded into one piece; hence the evident appearance of seams along the neck, extremities, and tail.

Here we will be taking a look at a classic rendition of the prehistoric mammal Archaeotherium, as perceived by the Tyco company in 1990 for their awesome Dino-Riders toy line. This particular figure was released for the Ice Age sub-theme (under the subgenus Megachoerus), which also featured a motorized woolly mammoth as well as an articulated Smilodon and Megatherium.

Dilophosaurus has become very well known as a result of its appearance in Jurassic Park, where it approaches the would-be burglar Dennis Nedry in a friendly manner, but then becomes angry and spits venom at him, much like a modern cobra.

Another treasured item in my collection is Cynthia, a unique and truly adorable stuffed woolly mammoth toy by Douglas Cuddle Toys. She is around 8 inches long and stands approximately 5 inches tall.

First of all, I’d like to say that I think the workmanship on this woolly mammoth is superb.

AAA is a company that had prominence when many of us were young, way back before we cared about detail or company or accuracy. Instead, just cared about actually having a dinosaur figure. And surprisingly, Styracosaurus was not a dinosaur often made into a figure back then–Monoclonius was a winner among the horned dinosaurs.
