Review: Tyrannosaurus (Great Dinosaurs Collection by Safari Ltd.)

Tyrannosaurus rex is a dinosaur that needs no introduction from me. Regardless of your knowledge concerning dinosaurs this is one species that everyone is familiar with. Because of its fame it is perhaps the species most reproduced in toy form, for better or worse.

Review: Tyrannosaurus (Horizon)

With all the new rexes (to be) released, let`s have a look to the past for a change. Almost 30 years ago, in the year 1992 the Californian company Horizon released a small number of high quality dinosaur models made from vinyl. Two of these models are already covered here on the blog, the Elasmosaurus and the Stegosaurus.

Review: Tyrannosaurus (Invicta)

Genus: Brand: Classification: , Age: Type: ,

4.6 (38 votes)
The Invicta dinosaurs are well-known for being quite anatomically accurate for their time, and especially when compared with contemporary competition. Here, then, we have their rendering of the most famous dinosaur of all, and while it’s not bad – especially when it comes to superficial details – it’s certainly not Invicta’s finest hour.

Review: Tyrannosaurus (Jasman)

Genus: Brand: Classification: , Age: Type:

Tyrannosaurus rex, the tyrant lizard king, last of a long and mighty dynasty. It doesn’t matter your level of dinosaur expertise, everyone knows what a T. rex is. Compared to the other great theropods it wasn’t the largest, or even that unique, but it’s been a pop culture icon for over a century.

Review: Tyrannosaurus (Jurassic Park, Hammond Collection by Mattel)

Next year will mark the 30th anniversary of the release of Jurassic Park and in those past 30 years we’ve seen a plethora of movies, books, video games, toys, and other merchandise come along to capitalize on a film that has now become a timeless classic and a part of the pop culture zeitgeist.

Review: Tyrannosaurus (Jurassic World Snap Squad by Mattel)

3.5 (13 votes)

Forget the Amber Collection Velociraptor, Destroy ‘N Devour Indominus, or Legacy Collection Brachiosaurus. THIS is the Jurassic World toy to get. Joking aside this Snap Squad Tyrannosaurus really is the most fun I’ve had with a Jurassic World toy so far.

Review: Tyrannosaurus (King Kong 1933 by X-Plus)

Genus: Brand: Classification: , Age: Type: ,

4.8 (16 votes)
After roughly four years of blogging and collecting I’ve reached my 50th review for the DTB. For this special review I wanted to do something offbeat and distinct. In seeking out a unique subject I came across a figure that merges my love of cinema with my love of dinosaurs, and I knew this was the model I would have to review.

Review: Tyrannosaurus (Larami)

Genus: Brand: Classification: , Age: Type: ,

2.1 (10 votes)
Larami released eleven ugly prehistoric animal vinyl figures in the 1990, most of which were bad copies of the good old Invicta classics. The own designs, Parasaurolophus, Styracosaurus and Ankylosaurus, were simply horrible and cannot really be recognized as a dinosaur in the case of the Ankylosaurus.

It is time for the “King”. Today I would like to review the Tyrannosaurus by Linde. Linde produced a coffee substitute herbal tea back in the 1950s and casually added little plastic toys as premiums to the packages.

Okay, there we go, the 250th Tyrannosaurus review on the blog….. Nah, seriously, I made up that number, I could not stand counting them all, but the blog has 13 pages with each 15 entries that are dedicated to the Tyrant King alone or where it is a significant part.
