We already made it through the first two issues of the Schleich Team Dino magazine, so here comes the third, which is also the 24th issue of the Schleich Dinosaurs magazine by Blue Ocean Entertainment as a whole.
While some fossil species in the world are rare, known from mere fragments, others are known from multiple specimens. Such is the case with Protoceratops, an early Ceratopsian, so common that it is known as the sheep of the Cretaceous, with multiple species associated with the genus.
Back in 2012 a representative from the toy vendor VictoryBuy joined the Dinosaur Toy forum looking for member feedback with regards to reissuing the Tim Mee set of toy dinosaurs, originally produced in the 1970’s. Flashforward to 2014 and VictoryBuy once again stopped by the forum, this time to announce the actual release of the set.
Back in 2018, when Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was released, a curious thing happened. Mattel, with their newly acquired rights to the Jurassic Park franchise began pumping out action figures for the movie’s various starring animals. But one of those animals was decidedly different from it’s on-screen counterpart.
The rainy season is in full swing and out on the plains, herds of animals are gathering for their migration. Their path is cut by a river that, just a few months ago, was shallow and easy to cross. As the rain gather strength, so too are the numbers of animals coming in from different corners.

My fellow collectors, the future is now. The long-awaited first wave of ceratopsians from Beasts of the Mesozoic by Creative Beast Studios has arrived. There were some delays due to the unfortunate event that is the current pandemic, but our wait was worth it.
The release of the ceratopsian line by David Silva meant a chance to get animals that are rarely made by toy companies, at least under modern names and details. I was pleased with the number of rare or even unique species, most of all Centrosaurus, which I ended up getting from the kickstarter.

The most recent news that we have of Bullyland is that the company entered bankruptcy in 2019. They were thought to be definitely out of business, but in January 2020, the company reemerged with a repaint and seven mini figures.
A lot of fossil species are erected by the slimmest of evidence, be it a toe bone, vertebrae or something else. This can make it very hard to discern where they fit into the scheme of life. This review’s subject, Serendipaceratops, is such an example, known only from a single leg bone, the ulna specifically.
With the release of the Beasts of the Mesozoic Ceratopsian line, I wanted to look back at other attempts to recreate these marginocephalians. And who better to look at how not to do them then Geoworld. I have reviewed one of their Ceratopsians before, and was less than impressed.
As a young child, I loved splashing around in the tub with my toys. Who didn’t? Most of my bath toys were sharks and whales and other aquatic creatures, but occasionally a plesiosaur would find its way into the mix. My older son, however, enjoys taking his bath with the Classic Big Four: Brontosaurus, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, and Tyrannosaurus rex.
Dino riders was a major line for many, and has influenced pop culture and other dino lines. And with the Kickstater for David Silva’s Beasts of the Mesozoic, the exclusive brings this back with this homage to the classic line: Monoclonius.
