Review and photos by Apatosaurus3232, edited by Suspsy
It’s been awhile since a Rebor product was reviewed on the blog. So this will be a two-part review of the Ceryneian Hind (Tenontosaurus tilletti) and Cerberus Clan (Deinonychus antirrhopus). These are parts 2 and 3 to the Acrocanthosaurus model that completes the diorama.

Review: Mesozoic Creatures (Tamiya)

When it comes to makers of model sets, the Japanese company Tamiya should be familiar to most. From planes to light infantry, they have created a wide range of products. One of those lines, however, consists of dinosaur models.

Review: Prehistoric Playground Dinosaur Set (Melissa and Doug)

3.5 (8 votes)
So at is turns out, my daughter is a little bit dinosaur obsessed. Nothing crazy like the kids on the “Dino Dan” TV series that she’s watched at least three times through but obsessed enough that this dinosaur obsessed father beams with joy when she corrects grandma; “it’s not an Apatosaurus grandma, it’s a Brachiosaurus”.

Review: Explorer with Dinos (1.2.3 by Playmobil)

3.7 (6 votes)
Playmobil’s 1.2.3 line is the equivalent of Lego’s Duplo line: simpler, safer versions of their main products aimed at toddlers. When I saw that there was a dinosaur-themed set among the 2018 releases, I knew that I had to get it for my son. As I write this, he’s still far too little to understand the first thing about prehistory, but he certainly enjoys banging the toys together or sucking on them.

Review: Gentle Giants Petting Zoo (Jurassic World by Lego Duplo)

3.3 (8 votes)
“Good day, fellow dinosaur lovers! Time once again to delve deep into the world of Lego with yours truly, Dr. Bella Bricking, along with the indispensable Beth Buildit! And how is little Bronwyn today, Beth?”
“She’s just fine, Doc. Although I’m still not sure my sister would be cool with all this.”

“Stuff and nonsense, Beth, she’s going to have a perfectly lovely adventure just like last time!

Review: Velociraptor Chase (Jurassic Park by Lego)

4.9 (9 votes)
“Salutations, fellow dinosaur lovers! Yes, it is I, Dr. Bella Bricking, along with my trusty wingwoman, Beth Buildit! My goodness, it’s been a long time since we last appeared on the Dinosaur Toy Blog!”
“Sure has, Doc. But with Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom out this summer, Lego has really stepped up their game this year.

Review: Mini Figures Collection (Battat)

4.7 (11 votes)
Review and photos by Bokisaurus, edited by Suspsy
The Battat line of 1:40 scale dinosaurs is so famous that it needs little introduction. Rightly so, as these figures are some of the best representation of dinosaurs in toy form. In fact, even after 20+ years, the line is still is considered one of the best.

Review: Raptor Series Nestlings Three Pack (Amber)(Beasts of the Mesozoic by Creative Beast Studio)

4.8 (45 votes)
Review and photos by Faelrin, edited by Suspsy
My next review for the 1/6 scale Beasts of the Mesozoic: Raptor Series will focus on the Amber Nestlings pack. Currently there are three Nestlings packs available in amber, black, and grey color schemes. There are also prototypes for a White Nestlings pack, but those are not available yet.

Review: Seven Little Dinosaurs (China Post by PNSO)

4.1 (7 votes)

Within the unfortunately short time of its existence, Chinese company PNSO released two products in collaboration or commission for  China Post. One is their glorious Mamenchisaurus, the other is a boxed set of “Seven Little Dinosaurs”. Unlike the “Six Little Dinosaurs” the seven do not depict juvenile dinosaurs but rather adult ones, though they are indeed not big figures.

Review: Discover Dinosaurs: Dino Jurassic Vol. 3 (Colorata)

4.2 (5 votes)
With Colorata’s new Paleozoic collection out in 2018, I think I’m overdue on this look at one of their earlier prehistoric sets: Volume 3 of their dinosaur series. Although this set has its share of flaws, Colorata’s 3rd dinosaur volume – and first focused on Jurassic fauna – still offers plenty for dino fans to appreciate.

Review: Dinosaur Mini Tub A (Papo)

2.5 (14 votes)
Review and photos by ‘Resurrection of the dinosaurs.’, edited by Suspsy
Today, we will be taking a look at Papo’s first tub of miniature dinosaurs, which contains Tyrannosaurus rex, Triceratops, Brachiosaurus, Stegosaurus, Spinosaurus, and Velociraptor.

Review: Paleozoic Creatures (Colorata)

5 (10 votes)

Colorata has been making boxed sets of dinosaurs for several years now, which occasionally include dinosaur contemporaries like pterosaurs or mosasaurs, but in December of 2017 they released their first boxed set of prehistoric figures featuring exclusively non-dinosaur taxa. Say hello to the Extinct Animals: Paleozoic Creatures set.

Review: Walking with dinosaurs miniature set (Quick/BBC)

4.4 (9 votes)
Review and photos by Bokisaurus, edited by Dinotoyblog
Greetings dinosaur fans! With the Christmas and the New Year upon us, this will be my last review for the year. To make it special, I have chosen to review a set of figures that I have been wanting to review for a while now.

Review: Discover Dinosaurs: Dino Cretaceous Vol. 1 by Colorata

3.4 (13 votes)
Colorata’s first dinosaur set doesn’t hold up perfectly to modern science, but overall these are nicely made figures good for both play and display.
There seem to be regrettably few quality dinosaur playsets on the market these days, be it for adult collectors or kids. However, the number is not zero.

Review: Prehistoric Mammal Skulls (Toob by Safari Ltd.)

4.7 (9 votes)
Prehistoric skulls, be they those of dinosaurs, pterosaurs, sea monsters, mammals, amphibians, or any other beasts, are always things of beauty and intrigue. Let us take a look at this interesting variety of mammal skulls from Safari Ltd. There are eight in total, all coloured medium brown with a pale brown wash, and all with their names printed on the undersides.
